Thomas & King, Inc., headquartered in Lexington KY, is the 19th largest restaurant franchisee in the nation and the 3rd largest Applebee’s franchisee. We operate 95 Applebee’s and Carino’s restaurants in Kentucky, Ohio and Arizona. We are looking for an IT Help Desk Specialist to provide first level technical support for our restaurants and corporate customers. This position will be based in Lexington, Kentucky, and will provide remote support to all stores as well as support in Lexington to Home Office team members. Key responsibilities include:

Providing enthusiastic service to all customers.
Assisting users with workstations, laptops, audio/video equipment, and PDA devices.
Responding to down systems in a timely fashion.
Proven hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
Assisting restaurants with menu and reporting issues.
Creating trouble tickets in help desk software to monitor status and ensuring timely resolution of all issues.
Documenting solutions to reoccurring problems.
Manage all assigned issues and see through to resolution.

The best qualified candidate will have at least two years of related experience in the IT field and Restaurant/POS administration. Strong organizational, planning and telephone communication skills are also required, along with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment. A+, MCP, and NET+ credentials and a two-year degree in Computer Science or related field are desirable but not required. This position also involves flexible work hours, being on call, and occasional travel. Compensation is extremely competitive.
